For nearly a quarter century now, I have cycled different parts of this great country...APEX.

I remember my first fast 10 mile ride...My first century(1990)...My first flat...My last flat.

My first charity 2-day ride with panniers. The first trip with by BOB trailer and all my heavy gear.

Little compares to a 10 day self-supported trek in the heart of America.

It is truly, a special thing to see a town or region for the first time on a bike.

Then roll on to the next and the next...

Since 2000, I have done numerous, 4, 9 and 12 day trips at least 1 per year.

The first 10 years with my father and the last 4 years with family, friends and acquaintances

sharing some of my favorite rides and building new ones, I map all routes to include a

mixture of roads, converted Rail Trails, paths and parkways where permitted.

In 2013, I began producing travel DVD's of rescent trips, for the people I am riding with,

and they have turned out very good and so...if you ride with me you may get a trip video.

I plan to make 1 hour long versions available, perfect for previewing a route, family night in,

use as training distraction or just to enjoy a good ride.  Possibly, inspiring one to see this

great land in a whole new way... or even join me on future trips.

I have and will be producing practical apparel for retail sale under the APEX branding..

A mix of items from T-shirts & sweatshirts, special, very cool, route design T-shirts

as well as performance micro-fiber items.

These are the things I travel with, simple, practical and of good quality.

My intention is not to start a tour company...but to  Promote Cycle Tourism

and give a little insight to anyone who has ever had the desire to travel by bike.

I hope to make this a site for all skill levels of cyclists.

From navigating to gear, easy recipes to emergency fixes,

I will try to cover things I have encountered and how to avoid others. As time goes by I hope to

introduce a monthly news letter with tips and insight on future plans.

THE JOURNEY IS THE DESTINATION.

See you Out There,

Bob.
